Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Hi, I'm Pamela, a person-centred counsellor specialising in grief and loss. I believe that we all need to find meaning in life but we can sometimes get stuck. I’m here to walk alongside you as we navigate your way through whatever is troubling or causing you pain.

I can help you with:
Bereavement
Loss of health/disability
End of relationship
Anticipatory grief
Loss after change
Nothing is more certain than that we will all experience grief and loss at various times in our lives. Sometimes we can cope with these changes just fine and other losses might feel completely insurmountable and overwhelming. Grief can be a lonely place and that’s why I am here to listen to you with compassion and without judgement. Talking can be transformative. Together we can find the answers that have felt just out of reach, discover new things about yourself, honour your losses and help you find your own personal meaning in life again.
Like many other grief specialists, I made my way to studying counselling after experiencing my own losses. I know what it is like to live with reduced mobility and chronic pain. I have also had bereavements that left me utterly bereft and wondering if the heartache will ever end. I have learned that there is no way round loss and pain, but there is a way through. Our grief does not get smaller over time, but we do grow around it. I will work holistically with you, curious about how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours all interact
I am registered with BACP and COSCA and offer face to face appointments from my private practice in my home town of Nairn in the Scottish Highlands. I also offer telephone and video counselling meaning I am fully accessible to anyone who is unable to travel due to ill health/disability or distance! I have previous experience of counselling within the NHS and am a volunteer bereavement counsellor for Cruse Scotland.
